How do you know when you've found the one?

When you can be yourself around them and they accept you for who you are, despite faults. Furthermore, they are your best friend, lover, and soulmate. Ultimately, you will seriously know when you've found the one by your own instincts or gut feeling.

Okay, how do you know when someone compliments your personality?

When the lines blur. It's what sets people apart. I may have common interests with someone like crazy. I may find them both physically and mentally attractive. If we don't also have that closeness and sense of ease with each other, it'll never last.

Think magnets. All the components can be there, but there's still a sense of us repelling each other. When we're sitting a foot apart and I can't tell where the line between me ends and yours begins... that's the thing. When all of those ingredients are there, and it's harder than you think!, that's the closest I can describe as your "the one".

For someone that doesn't believe in "the one" that was nice. At this stage of my life I think that sense of space shared. I have mine, you have yours, but we have this space that we both occupy and it's tied to a space of our heart. That mutual space fills a piece of my heart and soul that may have been empty but like the grinch caused my heart to grow three sizes.
