I had to read what has become my favorite book so far, The Great Gatsby, and have finally learned to appreciate it after having it assigned multiple times through my HS years lol.

For those who have read the novel, don't you get a sense that Jay Gatsby might be a cap? I didn't realize this until the latest reading I had to do because I didn't pay much attention but it's just so odd.

He can fall under any sun sign but something about his secretive, mysterious nature, and the fact that he is a self-made millionaire, just screams Capricorn to me.

I'm asking because coincidentally, a classmate of mine asked our professor if the author had made any indication in the novel of when he was born. She was curious about his sun sign, only to receive opposition from another classmate who said that a persons date of birth and their personality traits aren't linked in any way. I call BS lol but I just want to know what you guys think. Let's hope there are a few that have read the book.

i know a cap who is a wonderful faker and she loves to make herself look good to others, pretends that she is rich but lives in a two bedroom apt with her grandma. uses a man for his money and then treats him like poop. I don't think she does this to gain love. she loves status and she will make others think she has education(and she never finished high school) and class. but she is real ghetto.

Caps can be a great front. know a lot that are. but they do it for status not for love.

"but his intentions of being a millionaire inorder to be with a particular girl state otherwise.
A cap would not want success to gain love."

As a matter of fact, his goal to become wealthy began way before he met Daisy, around 17 years old. So the goal didn't change, I guess it was the driving force that did change.

cappywench OHHHHHHHHHHHH yes we do take risk and we make our own laws. Steping out side the law is no big deal. The only big deal is the risk you take. Its the degree of probability of loss that we consider before we step across the line. It could be wealth or freedom.
