too good to date ?

Hello guys, as promised in my other topic"pisces needs help with capricorn guy" this is the outcome of his friend letting him know that i like him too--

a quick summary( I am friend with this cap guy for 4 years now.. always felt like something was going on... finally he lets his friend know he likes me.. i talk with the friend, telling him i like the cap guy too but i will like to talk to his cap guy and discuss it with him.)

so the friend tells me the cap guy really likes me but does not want to ruin the friendship. and specially i am "too good" "too nice" ..."too perfect" for him because he is a bad guy and don't want to get involve romantically with me because of that. if it was any other girl he wouldnt hesitate but with me he can't because i am just a too nice person.

seriously isn't that the dumbest excuse ever?? what does he mean I am too perfect( he will tell me too sometimes.. things like you are the best, i swear you are the best) .

I am kinda confused i feel like it is just an excuse but why would he tells his friend he likes me and wants to know if i do too if he is not going to have a relationship with me.

sometimes the most simple situation tend to look more complicated when your heart is involved. This is why i want your insight on this matter.

My take: he likes you as a person, but you're not his type.

Or he is telling the truth, which you should listen to.

If he's saying he's too bad of a guy for you, I would respect the honesty and keep it moving. Why get involved with a self proclaimed bad guy? Be glad he's saving you trouble.

we are in our twenties but both inexperienced... because we just take relationships too seriously and dont get involved with just anybody..

Hum about that.. I don't know... I don't think his friend likes me that will be so weird!the friend is a really nice guy too good to do something like that I believe.
but ya I was wondering why in the world the cap guy would tell his friend he likes me and then say hey no i just want to be friend
I will probably talk to him(cap guy) because If i don't our friendship or whatever we have will never be the same
