What is your favorite Holiday?

Well, that was weird, it just booted me out. Anyway, I'll go first.

I like Halloween.

The scary stuff, the costumes, the gothic, spooky and creepy things, the imagination, the fall temperatures, the trees turning colors, etc. Its just a fun, no obligations holiday. Really not a holiday, but it's my favorite.

Any which I get the day off of work 🙂

halloween for me. i love it especially here in new york its the best you get the weather, the spirits and scenary.

. Mine too, for all the reasons you listed. I was thinking gosh that is gonna sound morbid. Haha. But I see I'm not alone. I have good childhood memories from trick-or-treating too. And I occasionally enjoy dressing up and playing a character. 😄

I've hosted costume parties before. Thinking about starting an annual Halloween party so it can become a tradition. I loooove planning a costume and dressing up.

Thanksgiving.

I don't really get holidays off so the girls and i can't go be with my family. Sometimes they go, but i hardly ever get to.

About 5yrs ago, some friends decided to have Orphan Thanksgiving. It's all of us transplants that don't have family or local friends that have family, but don't get along with them.

In many ways, I prefer it to the time i *do* get to spend with my actual family. Friends are the family we get to choose afterall and since a lot of us have kids, it's got a really nice feel to it. It grows a little every year. 🙂

That's really nice! It was a good idea.
