The Fire and Air Signs are masculine. They are Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

The masculine Signs are more extroverted, energetic, positive, optimistic, and intellectual.

The Earth and Water Signs are feminine. They are Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

The feminine Signs are more introverted, intuitive, emotional, practical, and spiritual.

Just based on sun signs alone.

BTW, the designation of "Masculine" and "Feminine" for the zodiac signs has nothing to do with acting masculine or feminine.

The Masculine polarity is also called the Positive polarity ... it means only that the person is extroverted. Has nothing to do with being independent, strong, logical, etc. The definition of "extroverted" is that the person gets recharged by spending time around people.

The Feminine polarity is also called the Negative polarity ... it means only that the person is introverted. Has nothing to do with being dependent, emotional, indecisive, etc. The definition of "introverted" is that the person feels drained if they spend too much time in the company of others, and they need to retreat and spend time alone in order to recharge.

Don't let the terms mislead you ... they are NOT what you would assume they mean. It is, therefore, much more useful to use the terms "extroverted" or "introverted".

Most people have a pretty even blending of both Masculine and Feminine signs in their chart. Very few have a strongly-skewed distribution among the two polarities.
