How can I understand what planet i am ruled by?

I know how to do it but not sure how to interpret it

Do you mean, what planet is your dominant one, or are we talking hierarchy?

...or do you mean the chart ruler?

It very much depends. If you have a planet in the home sign and house it is pretty strong. You can add to that with conjunctions and Trines...

Opposites or Squares would actually take away

Example in my own chart.

I have Pluto in the 8th house of Scorpio... Sign, Ruler, and house. I also have Mars in Scorpio but 9th house... My Mars is Trines both my moon and Venus in Scorpio and my pluto Trines Neptune in the 11th...

That is what makes it strong... Then next would be Pisces... As obvious Moon and Venus Conj. Less then .5 degree... Mars Trines both in Scorpio... I also have Neptune Sex titling Moon Venus. I do also have Lilith in Pisces and other astroids...

For me it would actually be close. But if you can see it is what is favored in your chart amping up your chart in a sign...

Have you done a Pullen on astro.com?

Yeah, I have but I just don't understand how to read it.
I'm going to give it ago again later, last time I did this I didn't have any children but now I have a toddler so I don't even get time to sit down and read things anymore lol.
I'm just confused by all the injunctions, conjunctions, etc etc

Just scroll down slightly lower than to the middle of the document and there you can find the listings in percentage and dominance rank of both sign and planets.

...and element and modality.

...and seeing as your toddler is a cap, you can just put her down in front of your computer and do your taxes, or something. That will keep her occupied. 😉
