Chinese Compatability doesn't work for me

I'm a rabbit and supposedly I shouldn't get on with roosters who are too critical but I've always found I like them a lot.

I've also heard Rats can be too critical for Rabbits but I've never found that at all. i actually think they seem very nice. Maybe it's because my mother is a rat and she can be blunt but not critical and it doens't bother me casue I know she's not trying to hurt my feelings on purpose or anything. Maybe I'm just used to rats.

When I looked at the western equivalents Rat is sagittarius and Rooster is virgo and I really like both those signs. I've never met a virgo or saggy I didn't like actually.

Anyone else find this? Where they're not meant to like chinese signs but they do and they tend to get on well with their western equivalent sign?

Well my father is a horse and Im a rat...we are not suppose to get along, but we do so quite well. Hes also a gemini and an opposing sign to me as well.

There are many more important factors in mind besides sign. The way the person grew up counts as a big factor too and how they developed. I've been attracting libras/virgos lately, but my sign is suppose to get along with only cancers, taurus, capricorn and scorpios. Astrology, I think, is really suppose to perhaps give us a better understanding than a compatibility determination.

Just like there's more to western astrology than sun signs, there's more to chinese astrology than the main animal signs.
