The guy is a cancer(tiger) his ex is Virgo(snake). Both had Aries moons. Guy is a Venus in leo, girl is a venus in scorpio. Both are good people in their own ways, but they had different philosophies in life. The guy loves his independence way too much for the girls liking and she became very possessive and insecure. Its a long story which continued for about a year until their final break up. They continue to be friends now. He respects her.

Thank you, joon.

This part, "The guy loves his independence way too much for the girls liking and she became very possessive and insecure.", sounds familiar.

It's just hard to believe that all people born in the same year love their independency above all / are possessive / are too kind etc.
Like f.e. Gemini and Aquarius stellium people born in the year of Snake tend to be possessive and sneaky?

I know Western astrology is not only about the Sun. I??ve meant overall compatible, the whole synastry reading.

Ya that's right. Thats the reason why I don't follow Chinese astro so much. I mean I like how they describe horses and I am one, but its hard for me to believe that everyone born in 1990 would have the same characteristics. So I would look at their moonsign, rising sign venus sign etc.Tigers/Horses are supposed to get along which is true in my case but I have dated guys born in other years as well. Compatibility has never been the problem. Anyway, whats your story?

For a long time I identified much more with the Chinese description than with my Western sign. It wasn't until I dove into it and found out that even though I am an earth sign, I'm kind of fire heavy.

My experience with female Snake friends is that you should keep it at that. If you pay attention you'll notice those sweet little creatures have a tendency to slither away if you put on too much pressure. Which is something Tigers naturally do to get their way. A Tiger on the other hand will have no one telling them what to do. Meaning the Snake can't do anything to change the Tiger's mind either.

They won't fight back (Tigers love that) but they will just disappear. Leaving behind two frustrated people.

Compatibility
"The slithering Snake and tempestuous Tiger are irresistibly drawn to each other, but this union is not encouraged. Tiger/Snake can be a disastrous alliance. As different as black and white, yin and yang, the combination just doesn't blend. Should either of you be ill-fated enough to fall for the other, a preliminary restraining order could save you from disasters. If not, here's what to expect:

The slow-moving Snake will inflict tremendous frustration on your psyche. Initially, you misguidedly see the enchanting serpent as quiet and submissive, and you attempt to dominate. But reptiles don't take kindly to bullying. They (slowly but surely) retaliate.

Snakes are aloof, independent, strategic whiz kids. Haughty indifference and disdain are among their sharpest weapons. They are also given to repeated bouts of infidelity which will certainly shatter your giant ego. Your impressive tantrums can make the Snake's calm, reflective, philosophical life miserable.

Equally magnetic, you and the Snake compete for attention. You do so aggressively, whereas the Snake slyly bewitches. At your own parties, Tiger/Snake hosts may appear quarrelsome.

You are fast and alert, Snakes quiet and slow-thinking. You are impulsive and may act heedlessly. Snakes take things at their own laid back pace and rely almost solely on intuition. The two of you may cohabit for sensual pleasure, but you don't see eye to eye in too many areas.

Sex? You just get down to business. The Snake's need for beautiful, romantic foreplay is frustrated and disappointed by your haste and lusty appetite. It can work. But only if you, Tiger, can learn to slow down.
