Is it going to be awkward? How do I handle it?

I started a new church last year. Quite quickly, in the large congregation, a guy caught my eye as attractive. We'll call him 'C'.

Towards the end of the year, during a short part of the service in which you're encouraged to turn and talk to someone new, C and his friend were sat in front of me and my friend. So we introduced ourselves etc. His friend was a lot more forward, and C pretty much said his name and then agreed with his friend when he suggested we stay after the service for a drink, as all are encouraged to do.

That was it. In the sea of 200 people, I'd always manage to see him lol, but no interaction.

Then, C appears on Hinge as an option for me to swipe. I panicked (lol) and just closed the app. This happened twice. Learned he's 37 (I'm 29), and we have things in common etc.

On another app, he appeared again. This time I swiped.

Nothing for 2 weeks. During that time, C and I were at a meeting before church one week - while he was addressing the group, we locked eyes across the circle for what felt like an age. Next week, he came to the meeting late and I could feel him looking at me from the side, but didn't turn my head. The next Friday, he matched me on the app. I saw it, then the weekend was a bit hectic and I also figured that I might see him in person on the Sunday, and now he encouraged to talk. He wasn't at church, so I messaged him on the Monday. This was in March. He still hasn't read the message.

He then wasn't regularly at church for weeks, and to be fair, when he was, I am always with a group of friends.

One of the weeks he wasn't there, his friend from the initial meeting and I had a lovely chat.

He's then been back at church the past couple of weeks and again it feels like there's a tension, we catch eyes and give little smiles. He's really open and chatty with other people. I saw him chatting to a female friend of mine last week, who's closer to his age, and I just felt so sad.

We've got a huge church event in August I know he'll be at and even if he's not romantically interested, I just want this tension broken. I was looking up a local worship band on Facebook. He's recently tagged in a post with them at dinner and honestly, I sent him a friend request and messaged to ask how that came about and what they're like...genuinely out of curiosity than anything else. I've been ignored. Fine.

This event is getting closer though and I'm just frustrated that it might be awkward and we haven't manage to confirm pleasant chill, even if nothing else.

I might be wrong here with your religion but in religious circles I’ve been around the man is the head of the house, therefore, they make the move.

He seems interested and if and when he wants, he’ll approach you. He could be observing to see if you are someone he’d contemplate courtship with.

I sent him a friend request and messaged to ask how that came about and what they're like...genuinely out of curiosity than anything else. I've been ignored.

He's not interested.

With that rising, he can find his shit even better.

If you are really interested let him know. You have enough synastry where that tension will be felt equally. I recommend slow seduction and or actually initiative to befriend him. Pretend you are dancing you move and see if he will move to match you. Slow dance his ass. See if he returns the favor.

You maybe dealing with a shy guy. Show interest other then eye contact.

Aw same sun and moon. Aries sun/taurus moon are lovely. I don't think he's that interested tbh but I could be wrong. He would have talked to you if he was but could be that he's unsure of the situation and a bit shy. Or hasn't seen the message? 🤷Generally aries men are quite direct and you will know if they're interested. A taurus moon is a bit more laidback though.
