Ex crush in dream.

I'll start with some background info. Me and this guy were really good friends it was actually a complicated scenario but we really had a connection, then he met someone. I knew this was a mistake for him, graduall (because of her) we broke contact for nearly two years, but we started talking again two days ago. Things have been rocky with this girl since the beginning. So this dream my just be the fact he was on my mind, but if anyone could help with some kind of interpretation that would be great.

I dreamed about this male friend. There was water everywhere, like there was a flood. We were canoeing, just me and this friend, on the water because there was no other means of transport. The water was very wild, but we were not afraid, we were having fun. Then we were at his house. It was a beautiful large house. I was in his bedroom, we were both wet from the water, he disappeared for a bit then came back smiling and handed me a towel to dry up. I felt happy and safe. He asked me if i wanted to go out for cocktails. Through out the dream i was happy like i have not been in a long time.
