recurring dream

I've been having a recurring dream for about 12 years now. I may go a year or two with out having it, but once in a while it happens. I can't say that it's the exact same dream, but it has the exact same theme.

In my dream there is an abandoned house of some sort. I discover it with some friends or family members. The people I am with warn me not to go in there, then leave me. I can't resist the urge to explore the house and always find a easy way in the house. Once I'm in the house it seems like I've been there before, even though I've never been to or seen the house before ever. Strange huh? Any clues?

I've had lots of dreams with them, here are a few:

One time I was ridding horses with my friend Mel and the house was in the middle of the forest behind a tall wooden fence. Mel warned me not to go in there and galloped off, but I got in the house by taking a nail out of the back door.

My dad sent me to deliver a package to a small town in Arizona, but warned me not to enter the abandoned house that is right across the street. The abandoned house kinda looked like a church. I was able to get in through a window.

the most recent dream I was riding around a new neighborhood with my friend Jeramie on bicycles. There was a huge white house on top of a hill that had a very long driveway to get up to it. Jeramie warned me not to go in there, but I was able to get in my jumping from a tree onto the balcony and in through the door.

Are you bored with your life?

This sounds like the classic wanting to try something new and other people are advising against it.

Another interpretation.....you're a wild person and you're being advised not to go any further.

What else happens when you enter these houses? What do you see or hear?

Hi twinflame2 here, I have a book about what our dreams mean but I cant find the little bugar right now. But when I do I will try to let you know what I can find out ok. It covers the kinds of things you are talking about in your dreams. See my post on this board that is about a dream with terrorists attacking our country in it. It will give you an idea at least about how dreams are trying to tell us something.

Are your Family connections very strong...? I sense a craving to break free of maternal bonds...maybe...and a longing to be free...but with a safety net...?? MAKE SENSE? The House is symbolic of ure wanting to start on ure own...your family warning you and then abandoning you culd be symbolic of you being afraid to make a decision about ure future without your family and friends approval...MAKE SENSE?

The fact that you are ALWAYS able to get into the house...tells me that YOU have a strong desire to do things your own way...but you want the safety and security of your family and friends approval again!

This looks like a sub-concious desire which u keep packing away...if u think long and hard i am sure u'll find there's a something u've been wanting to do...but maybe the fear of the risk or the unknown keeps holding you back...

Wow! That was great Yummy Mummy! Hey, let's see if you can interpret my dream.

Ever since I was about 20 yrs. old (that was over 10 yrs ago) I have had a persistent dream that I am living in a high rise condo overlooking the ocean. Along comes a huge (60 foot plus) wave and washes me out to sea.

The wave is gentle but still powerful enough to pull me and everything around me into the ocean.

Then I wake up. I don't know what happens....if I survive or whatever. It's so weird. To this day, I will not live on the water or go on a boat.

What's the deal?
