ASMR is not for everybody. You need a certain sensitivity to sounds (same goes for music) - to be able to enjoy it properly (to get that tingly sensation - or the relaxing, massaging effect - it can have on your brain). And also, you have to be open-minded. I saw some reaction videos on YouTube (those people who record their reaction - while watching/listening other videos) - where the ones in question - acted repulsed - before even trying it (or after trying for a very brief time - couple of seconds even). Thus, their mind was already set on rejecting ASMR from start - simply because they were conditioned to acknowledge this type of content - as weird/unusual/repulsive. The same reaction some people have - while seeing a tampon/condom in public (: doesn't have to be used - it's more about what it represents / a subject that's more or less taboo). In the 90's. 😂
Me, i love ASMR! 😋 I find it both therapeutic (for dealing with stress/anxiety) and a good form of relaxation in general (in case you have a hard time going to sleep). A true massage for the brain. 😌

I could, but i need a better mic (more sensitive - preferably binaural). The high quality stuff - is kinda expensive...😐

@potheadvirgo
Forgot the numbers in his name lol. I remember him posting a lot of asmr videos on the front page.

Totally get what you mean. I'm not really into asmr videos but it's the same tone in meditation videos. I let those play at least twice a day.
And it's the same tone I use when leading guided meditations for groups at work.
The voice is very healing. That's why a lot of us have favorite singers. There is a man I know that has an amazing voice. He does sound healing with yoga by using Tibetan singing bowls and singing chants. It's powerful stuff.

Posted by AjuThere's a huge community on YouTube - that's gotten/getting bigger and bigger - due to its obvious benefits (: lots of peps show their gratitude in YT comment section - for reliving them of stress/anxiety or simply - for helping them go to sleep - feeling relaxed 😌).Posted by neves

Posted by AjuThis days - there's many YouTubers with high-quality equipments - for quite some time. So i can tell the difference - and prefer the good stuff (got used to it). I have a pair of studio headphones as well - and this too are more sensible (the sound is more defined - it picks up more details be it quality sound or bad noise - depending on the source).Posted by neves

I'd say start with simple mic that come with headphones.
you can adjust in post edit. I'm thinking of doing one
privately. click to expandclick to expand

someone? Maybe for a friend or a lover?
Do you think it could even help damaged relationships?
These are so healing and I can think of a few friends and family members
who may benefit from the sound of my voice lol (jk) but maybe...
