This dream is making me think about my love life.

Of course i have to start from the beginning. Well i was talking to a guy for a couple of months. We lost contact for a little while. I found him again and we began to talk again. He seemed a little distant this time around. So he text me and said how a bad guy he is and that i shouldn't waste my time on him. I said okay and that ended the conversation. I woke up in the middle of the night watching t.v feeling lonely and started listening to love songs and reminiscing on what we had. I feel asleep about an hour later and dreamed. Now this is where my question comes in. The dream was about me seeing him again in a public place and he invites me out with him. But somehow we ended up at my house meeting my family. After we just hung out with each other like nothing happened. And i remember him asking me this question: WHAT DOES LOVE MEAN TO YOU?...And i woke up screaming...THAT WAS THE BEST DREAM EVER. Can you help me and tell me what my dream meant? It will be highly appreciated.
