I couldn’t choose a favorite but I’m wearing Le Labo Santal 33 today. Generally have to stick with woody, vanilla, leather, creamy. People compliment me when I wear Valentino and BR540. People loved BR540 so much I stopped wearing it because they’re all wearing it now.

Sometimes I wish clean girl scents worked on me, especially in the summer, but I think they work better on people with a more acidic or metallic body chemistry. My body odor smells like baby milk.

You must run in some well-off circles for everyone to be wearing BR540 💀

Im kind of surprised nobody has mentioned any PDM fragrances. Thats a great house with a lot of good stuff.

I had their Delina, hated it but I hate the vast majority of women's fragrance. May have had a sample of Layton that I also disliked. I would like to try Herod one day.

The fragrance line thats the most overrated is Tom Ford- except Oud Wood, the best cologne I've ever tried. I've tried their Tobacco Vanille, Tuscan Leather 🤮, Lost Cherry (smelled like Dr Pepper- the only other one I didn't immediately throw out), and bitter peach. All synthetic trash

I am in a circle of business owners but they’re definitely more well off than I am. I only keep like 3 full size bottles at a time and then buy decants. There’s so many fragrances I want to try in my lifetime and there’s no way I’ll get through full bottles of all of them.

I like Ariana Grande Cloud too. I think it does a good job of giving off a similar vibe to BR540. My friend that does my hair wears it and layers it with other scents and she smells divine

I like Tom Ford. I have the entire lineup. I do agree on Lost Cherry and Bitter Peach, theyre not my style either. For an Oud fragrance i like Oud for Greatness - that was my entry into Ouds. Ouds aren't for everyone.

Sounds like you like heavier fall/winter type scents?

PDM Habdan is a good one. Its a Carmel apple type smell. Carlisle may be more your speed with PDM.

God damn I wrote the longest response to this and it got erased 😢

Ok I'll take your recs into consideration (: my favorite notes are tobacco, rum, amber, oud, pink pepper, and bergamot. I despise leather notes, which gave me a bad impression of Initio Parfums Privé when it hit me by surprise in Side Effect. I'm curious whether you've tried any houses in my fragrantica wishlist including Amouage, Guerlain, Penhaligons, Serge Lutens (the only one I bought was the one famous for smelling like poop lol- koublai khan), areej le doré, montale, lalique

Winter months:

• Carolina Herrera Good Girl
• JPG fragile (not sure if it's still produced)
• Kenzo Jungle

Summer:
• my every day go to is J by Jenifer Aniston
• Pyredo Mojave Ghost
• Kenzo Perfume D'ete

For men. Rasasi Hawas (purple)

Rasasi is a great clone house. I have their Daarej because it was the only 90% clone of the discontinued Valentino V Pour Homme. People say good things about Hawas as well. I may grab that one too.

Funnily enough, I was introduced to it just recently as I happened to stumble upon this one lady's review & she described it reminisce of "man glaze"! 😅 I was like, say whaa!? Coincidentally, few days later someone happened to wear it & promisse you, it took all my might to restrain myself & not do this....

User Submitted Image

And I rarely.... I mean, super rarely like a man's cologne. I dont know what it is with man's fragrance but 99% of them give me headaches. Women's too but not in a such high percentage.

In conclusion, I definitely think you should get it. Plz reprt your findings 😁

Their men’s line is infinitely better than their women’s line.

It does seem women are pigeonholed to the lighter powder, rose and Iris scents more often than not. Try some of the men's. Men's are more geared towards season, so a spring, fall or summer (blue) scent may be a winner. Winter scents get into heavier.

Herod has been a long time favorite of mine, but definitely something I’d prefer to smell on a man. Eventually, when I’m over my bitterness, maybe I’ll stop by to sample Althaïr which has a dominant vanilla note that might make it a bit more unisex.

Percival kinda smells ok

So my favorites from them they just ripped off from other fragrances

Lol you know you may be right. I stopped the sneakers several years ago. I think I own maybe 3 or 4 pairs of retro Nikes and Adidas. Thats what pisses me off, the price of sneakers considering their shit construction. Its the worst leather with a plastic coating lol wtf for $ 300+. 😆 then you can't break them or it hurts the value. Like I dont want to buy shit shoes in the first place, now I cant wear them either. Its like a problem that solved itself.

Some of the middle eastern houses have some decent scents. Shoot, LV is the only one I haven't ventured into yet. Im probably going to find some good clones to see if its close what i like or has enoughdifferencefrom what i have, and if it is ill probably drop the big money for the quality. At least there's no excuse for people to be walking around stinking these days lol.

There is no way I'd blind buy any Oud, let alone from a clone house. Oud isn't the easiest to pull off anyway, IMO.

The blues are the only clones id recommended testing the clones first.

Lol I was going to say in my last post these middle eastern houses they overcome quality by cranking up the intensity. I've only gotten a few, but they project louder and for longer most of the time. It really does make sense its middle eastern lol.

Cool water in 97 was my first conscious fragrance choice like not gifted by family members

2000s Clinique Happy (gifted by gf) and L’eau par Kenzo (1 bottle lasted me four years of college)

When I graduated 2006 Acqua di Parma Colonia but I was trying hard to be an internet gentleman at this point 😅

I think I still like that cologne style tbh kind of the way I like dress watches and tall skinny women coz they were my firsts 🤣

my streaming partner came to my place yesterday and i stopped dead in my tracks when i caught a whiff of his new scent. i was like wtf is this indescribably ethereal, intoxicating, futuristic, sophisticated af, got my shit together, refreshing, androgynous, musky, woody scent?

he told me it’s

le labo-another 13

i’ve honestly never smelled it on anyone before. it kinda took me by surprise. so if anyone is looking for a scent that’s unique, androgynous, and one that not many people are wearing, but smells indescribable in a good way, get this.

this one’s gonna have you turning heads and living in people’s heads rent-free 😂 lol

this is one of those scents that you don’t know what you’re smelling exactly but it’s good lol

but for real though, he had no business smelling that good 😅
