Anyone who has ever been to the subcontinent of South Asia- namely India & Pakistan ever had this great fast food very typical of this region? It is tangy, coudl be as pungent and spicy as you want or can be sweetend too by adding a tamarind-jaggey based mix.

Gappey is plural of Gappa. Gol means round. it si also knwon as puri. mad eof semolina it is deep fried and it rises and is crisp. it is then filled upwith a mixture of chick peas and herbs n spices...then dipped in a water based mixture which is again a spicey herbal concoction.

It has god digestive property as it has right mixture of spices and herbs. And mind you its taste lies in the right proportionate mix of various herbs. requres expetise. People who make t are loked with great respect and called as Bhayya(brother) or didi (sister).

Gosh it is so yummy and what more low cal as well. 😛
