Chocolate martinis are delicious. Cosmopolitans are pretty tasty also.Never had a regular martini though. Are they good?

I had a white chocolate martini once, OMG it was delicious.I therefore proceeded to drink several more and got exceedlingly drunk. 😛

I stir equal parts Absolut Vanilla & Creme de Cacao for a Crystal Clear Chocolate martini that is so smooth, yet gets me flirty after just 2.

@ Ocean- I've actually never had either a regular gin or vodka martini.Only the flavoured kinds.and yes- I'm a wimp.😛

lol. Hi, Parfait.

Vodka is great. A good quality vodka is pretty taste-free which is why it mixes well with fun flavors. I think a Straight Up Vodka martini is a nice "watery" tasting drink.

Gin has a strong aroma and flavor that you'll either love it or hate it. With a Straight Up Gin martini you have to love gin. That really is all there is to it.

I'm team vodka. lol.

So it sounds like the vodka martinis are a win then.....Do you prefer olives or lemon twists?Does shaking or stirring alter the flavour at all?Sorry, but I'm a real martini novice.Hmmm....maybe tonight will be martini night.😄

I like both (and onions, and cherries), but, mostly olives. I love them - even in a sweet martini, because I love a salty/sweet blend sometimes.

Have fun tonight. But remember what they say: Like titties, 1 is not enough, 3 is too many. 🙂

Shaking makes the drink cloudy with bubbles, but gets it colder than stiring does. You have more time to sip it. Once a martini starts to sweat it'll taste more like alcohol.

I like them all save for the gin based. The Grape Nehi is one of my favorites but it's one to sip on. It's actually too sweet for me to consume more than one but it's tasty! Vodka based with a Chambord float. Shaken always. I only stir at house parties where beer is the main drink and I've never seen a bartender that didn't shake them. I would like to see it and not be on the receiving though 😛
