I think I may need to cook my apples before I fill the crust? It seemed the filling shrunk w/ uncooked apples.
Also, if I cover my pie with aluminum foil 15 minutes or so into baking, what difference will it make beside keeping the crust from browning too soon? Will it help in making the crust more malleable? Think a food processor makes a significant difference?
