Just wanted to post something good about Gems- we've been bombarded lately- thought a random post like this was in order- just to mix things up....and after this, stay tuned to our next topic..." Geminis- what the hell is wrong with them anyway?" 🙂

what were you hoping to acheive with that, Kavindra? i didn't get that feedback on it was your desired result...aside from that, this description seems...odd. very general. IMO, it should be far more complex in order to effectively describe the actual nature of a Gem. it seems to explore the chilly shallow aspect of Gems, yet hints at something more underneath...actually, maybe that means it's a good portrait. shall we discuss it until one of us gets bored or distracted then? 🙂

Rainbow- no- it was more of a joke than anything else- when there's a rant about Gems everybody jumps on it, but if there is something else, no one will 🙂 I suppose it is more fun to rant- that's the whole point of these boards, isn't it? 🙂

EmGem, that was sort of my point. i felt that the description lacked warmth and depth and that while, yes, most of us can, at times, be both chilly and shallow, i like to think that we can also be warm like your favorite quilt and a mug of cocoa on a snowy day, and mind bogglingly deep. i know that i display those qualities at times, as well as being completely thoughtless, other times...so i get tired of seeing us painted as a bunch of smooth talking, dont give 2 nuggets about anything, always on the run kind of people. in fact, i think i'd rather see us painted as totally freakin neurotic. at least then, perhaps it would be better understood that we're not just a bunch of selfish assholes with nothing more on our minds than how we're going to con the next person who's ear we manage to get ahold of.

but...i'm currently feeling rather distracted, so i can't come up with any examples of how deep and warm and awesome we are. so...maybe later i'll feel like being mushy and vulnerable.

it certainly does seem it, most of the time, Kavi. really, i see it partly as a very appealing sort of system of segregation. both disturbing and rather sick, but at the same time gratifying to the ego and contributive to the sense of belonging somewhere. really, over all, kind of pathetic, but...here I am, right?
why can't we all just get along!?!?!
