It's barn owl mating season in my neck of the woods. If you've never heard their mating call, it's a terrifying shriek that sounds like a woman or dog being murdered. I know what's making the sound and I'm still scared!

I swear I get different reactions to my posts depending on which profile pic I'm using. It's like people think my avatar is the one doing the typing. Does anyone else notice this, or am I making stuff up?
