I left it in it's box. It's quite small, about the size of my fingernails.

These! I'm a guy and I absolutely loved these types of gifts. They meant so much to me. A simple card with my love interest expressing themselves, or something simple as, for example, during Christmas, having a little tree just for the both of us if we couldn't have a big tree is just...wow. It melts my heart every time. That tree could be a sticker for goodness sakes and I'll just tear up...*sigh* I already am.

I don't know how to explain it, but it's those meaningful gifts that have sentimental value that mean the most to me. I'd rather have some "ugly" painting of something special between us than a top of a line phone from a lover. Or, oh, a piano song, even just half completed and poorly done. Those 2-3 minutes of giggling and spending time together would be so precious to me.

That ex also was writing a book about us and it was one of the sweetest thing that's ever happened to me. 2 weeks ago, a guy composed a short song and named it after me. Suffice to say, he is getting a lot of brownie points from me.

Personalised gifts, anything that has some context... Also gift an experience. The best gift i ever received was a bunch of flowers my bestie gave me kneeling down on an intersection... after a huge quarrel ... Showy, yes....Impressed, oh yes!

Dude, that's awesome! I wrote a song for my ex too. It was one of my first rifts I ever learned from my own while fooling around. I "wrote" the first bit long before we even got together and we were just friends.
