Communication—?

My Gemini boyfriend usually calls, text and keeps in contact on a regular. We're in a long distance relationship and don't get to see each other often. He's the jovial lighthearted one and I'm the emotive pensive one. We haven't seen each other in a couple of weeks and because I have to work this weekend, I had to cancel our plans.

Side note: I'm annoyed with him because he had 2 opportunities to see me by coming to town for 2 events and elected not to. I didn't initiate or invite him since I have children he hasn't met. But if he wanted to see me, he could have.

My problem is tonight he was mean. His language isn't coarse or abusive but it's teasing or being always right that makes me want to opt out of the convo. Tonight, I abruptly ended our conversation out of frustration and his unwillingness to empathize with my point of view. Is this the real him all along? Do Gemini's usually have a mean streak? He says he's sensitive but I think only when his feelings are involved

His rerout for everything is that I'm crazy. Or women in general are crazy. He says blanket inflammatory statements but he's talking about other people relationship he's pensive, thoughtful and understanding.

Nah no meanness unless it's to be protectective or supportive and it's usually brought about by another. Gems aren't inherently mean and don't spend a lot of time thinking about revenge. Not a vindictive sign....that would be scorpio and virgo in my experience. They'll ponder that ish all day everyday.
