Leo and Gemini—

So I'm kinda stuck right now and would appreciate everyone's input on how I should deal with my friendship with this Gemini male. I'm an 18 y/o Leo female with Virgo cusp & I met this Gemini about 5 months ago when school started. We attend the same college and live on the same floor in our coed college dorm. At first I thought nothing of our friendship. Little by little we would hang out with each other and talk about everything under the sun. We go to school in DC but are both from California which is cool! He is a year older than I and is very mature. We talk more than anybody else that lives with us because we just get along well. Some people don't talk to him long because he can be sarcastic but I love it! It's crazy because we've formed such a great playful friendship and before leaving for break our 14 other floormates unanimously voted that we should be together. I thought nothing of it as I went home for the breaks. We continued to talk during these breaks like everyday, even a phone call here and there. We would joke around! Then upon returning, I realized that I felt a bit more than friendship toward this guy because i was looking forward to seeing him again. I really don't know how to measure how he feels— Being back at school was refreshing. It's been almost 2 weeks and we've been inseparable everyday. I've noticed since I've been back he's been a little more touchy. He'll come and find me and lay on my bed and talk for hours with his arm around me. We do homework together. We eat almost every meal together. We talk for hours about everything: friends, family members, music, religion, school, etc. We have matching jackets and will go to basketball games. We've went grocery shopping together, played videogames, and watch marathons of tv/movies together. We even hear what everyone says about us being together and talk about it and kinda laugh it off. Our floormates come up with some outrageous things!!

So now that I really like him, I'm unsure of what to do! In the past when I've liked someone I make it known from the beginning and usually end up dating that person. This feeling has come as a surprise for me because I didn't view him like that at first and we are friends before anything. I haven't told him how I feel because I don't know how he feels, nothing has been verbally said. I view this guy as my male counterpart/ male best friend so I really don't want to mess up our friendship. What should I do?

Thanks everyone!! I took your advice into consideration and Lastnight I told him!! I found out that he feels the same way and like me, was unsure how to come out with it. We laughed and both are relieved. We are now taking the steps day by day to continue growing our friendship. Neither of us are rushing into anything!! Thank you!!
