We've already gone to the Moon, obviously. Then we are supposed to go to Mars like in 2020 or so. But after we travel to Mars, can we really travel to any other planets? Mercury and Venus are way too hot. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all made of gas and Pluto is way too far away from the Sun and is mostly made up of ice. I guess we could travel to some of the planets moons, maybe Jupiter's moons. But that wouldn't be as good.

Do we need that for now?

There are tonns of things to realize in space such as nuclear power plant in space, space station, fusion reactors etc. When we land on Mars, there are mission to create a colony on there. Also before Mars, there is plan to create one on the Moon, and before Moon lol there is a plan to create one in orbit of Earth. There are soo many things to test in space before we even start clawling to outer plantes. And who said that we need to land on hot planets? We just can build orbital stations and do what we need there.
