First of all, she at least let you know exactly what's going on. You're number two, and no matter how alluring you find her, she never pretended you weren't. So, you know where you stand instead of having to guess. That helps a little.

Sounds like she really does like you, but that doesn't change the fact that you are her "reserve" guy. She's keeping you around until she decides what to do with you. You might stay in the "friend zone". You might end up as a replacement if her other guy leaves. She might develop more feelings for you than she has for him.
