I'm having a miserable time. I really want a cigarette, but I really really DON'T. I'm taking Chantix which is extremely helpful. My cravings are easily manageable, but the mood swings that are both a side effect of quitting and amplified by the Chantix are overwhelming sometimes.

Anybody else taking Chantix or quitting? Its definitely one of the hardest things I've ever done. But I feel it's the last time I'll ever quit and it makes me feel very happy.

i quit a year and a half ago.......i used chantix and it worked for me. it wasnt easy though, i quit my job while i was quiting smoking, i found a new one that same week but i think the moodyness and headaches i was having had a lot to do with it. i was into the third month when i also added welbutrin to the chantix and that was it. its hard but im so glad i quit and kinda wish i had earlier.

Hi I hope you have stopped craving for a cigarette by now. But just in case you haven't, certain Bach flower remedies can also help, if you'd like to try them.
