She'll fit in perfectly with the current crop of millennial surgeons. 👍🏼
They're all terrible with their bedside manner. 😅

Hm. My pcp is an aqua and she is honestly one of the best docs I've ever had. We have a lot of good talks and she listens. No clue on her placements. I think an aqua could play it off well. Dunno about a triple lol. That's a lot.
I honestly couldn't give you the worst. All i see is the people in my work place which is dominated by Scorpio surgeons. Not the best bed side manner but the best at what they do in the nation. I'm sure that's a regular occurance with surgeons everywhere lol.

yeah but she doesn't want to be one though....
well my hope is that she is now just saying she wants to be a primary care physician because she knows its what med schools want to hear
(because there is a national shortage and this trend of current physicians not going into primary care even with the shortage and the fact that it's the easiest to get into)
There is going to be a shortage of primary care physicians to the point where pharmacists will begin to take the lead role in the future.
Of course, since she's probably chasing the money, being a primary care physician is a terrible idea.click to expand

i think more likely it will be nurse practitioners
and physician assistants doing the work of PCP as what it is now
but just on a massive scale.....
a pharmacist wouldn't be qualified in the same way.
You'd be surprised, at a local pharmacy school here in the city, they've already begun preparations for turning pharmacist into pcps. It'll actually be a part of the degree because the shortage will be that bad.click to expand

In 20 years even the youngest baby boomers will be needing doctors out the ass. And then Generation X will be close on their heels.
We will eventually see which way this goes. I'm pretty sure however, the healthcare field will not be the same in roughly 12 years anyway.

Mm. Yes. At the office I go to, NPs often are in the PCP roll. And on the teams in my unit, the NPs save my ass from bothering the attending lolclick to expand

She's landed an interview for a top med school and will likely be well on her way.
She's obviously quite bright but knowing her personally.....this is scary af.
If she said I want to be a surgeon....a little less bad...but a primary care doctor is troublesome since she lacks empathy.
