Are Leo men sincere when they apologise?

I have been on a rollercoaster with my Leo man.

He chased me, then he pushed me away, then he chased me, then he pushed me away. I have always felt like he has kept me at arms length. Never giving me too many details of his life, never really making plans in advance and generally making me feel like an "option" rather than a priority.

In the end, I dumped him.

After more than a week, he showed up at my door. I won;t say he was very good at it, he seemed to hate every minute of it, but he told me he had been an idiot, he was a commitment-phobic, he has definitely been in the wrong but he really liked me, really wanted me back and if I would say "yes" he promises he will be a good boyfriend, and be completely diferrent.

With a Leo man was this all likely to be quite sincere?

Or is it more likely his ego hates being dumped and he's trying to win back his prize as part of the chase game?

Why of course.....He simply realized what he had and saw how it would damage him if you left.

He loves you... his pride wont let him admit it.

What he did was to text me before he showed up here, and it just said "hello" then another a few seconds later saying "forget I contacted you". Then another saying he was going to come and see me and was it worth his time. Then I said "yes", and he arranged it, went to the train station and sent me another message that said "I have never done this before, gone to a girl and asked her to be with me, believe me" and I did believe him. He sent another that said "I value you Alania", which seemed like a weird thing to say.

When he was here he seemed sort of angry and uncomfortable and he looked like a kid who had gotten into a lot of trouble. I asked why he'd come and he just said "to be near you". I said, but there must be something you want to say and he said nothing and just stared at me. I then asked him questions and he answered but it was like extracting a tooth. I said "are you here because you're sorry" and he said yes he was, I asked if h wnated me back" and he nodded.

When I forgave him, he just put his head in my lap and said thank you. After that point he started opening up much more but he came here and even with the objective of apologising he was initially aggressive and stubborn! He'd said he hadn't expected me to even talk to him, much less forgive him.

He did seem like he was going through torture and I could see it was very difficult for him, but we sorted a lot of things and talked everything out. Right now though (2 days later) he's still very distant, not much communication...almost like the apology embarrassed him.

What can I do to make the situation better? I think he's probably glad we sorted it out but he also feels like his ego is wounded because he had to beg.

I believe he is sincere. I've been married to a Leo man and I was raised with a Leo male cousin and when they love someone they aren't going anywhere. But they may do some serous messing up along the way. One thing I can say is that Leo men are the most caring and uplifting men of the entire zodiac.
