I'm a Leo male.

That's mostly a myth. Leo's initially may have larger egos, and that's probably because they have high confidence in what they're capable of. Knowledge of self is a tremendous attribute, so don't confuse the two.

One also has to take into consideration other aspects of a Leo's chart to make that conclusion. If he has strong Mars influences in his chart (born around August 17), his need to show off and brag will be suppressed. Mars has that effect. In fact, Leos with Mars in their chart recognize humility and usually aren't afraid of putting their egos aside in the interest of honour.

Hey Leo male!!

Hello again and thank you for your input from my post. That's interesting about what you said about if a Leo has Mars in his chart. The person I am strongly interested in was born on the 18th. He does seem to accept being critisized and humiliated well now and then. I hope he has Mars in his chart. But, are you sayinfg that only a Leo with Mars will have these attributes?

It's me again. One would never know it, as I don't feel like registering, but I generally always come in from 142-series IP addresses.

I'm no astrologer, but yes, as far as I know Mars does combat a lot of stronger sun sign tendencies. For instance, if Mars were a heavy influence on a Virgo, they'd probably less fussy and critical -- generally less particular about order and details.

I have my Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus in Leo, with at least two other planets in Sagittarius. It's a pretty firey chart, to say the least, and one would assume I'd have to be an extreme Leo example because of my sun and moon signs at the minimum. Given what I've read of the typical Leo, I wouldn't say I fit that description to a "T", and that may be because of my Mars influence.

Some astrology books divide each sign up into three or four "sub-signs." I do know I am a "Leo III." Your friend being born on the 18th is most likely also in that category and with the same Mars influence. Some books call it my "personal planetary ruler."

At the end of the day, I take all this astrology s*** with a grain of salt anyway, but it's interesting to dissect besides that.

Ciao.

Okay I don't think there is need for name calling. Obviously you got burnt by a leo badly!! Well I suppose all signs have assholes but unless you have met them all I suggest you get over yourself. Since I am a leo I know for a fact I have no problem when I am wrong. No one likes to be wrong but I am human and so it is all good. Since you did not put your own sign on...does that make you a pussy too? I think so...meow

My father was a Leo and I married a Leo. I used to look at my dad as he was being horrible unkind to my mother or beating me unmercifully through his rage and think that he was so weak for not having the capacity to express himself better. I thought those were just the thoughts of a child who required a much tender approach to her missteps. As an adult I became a clinical psychologist and my adult opinion is that there is a huge weakness in a human being that requires that degree of attention from another person to be fulfilled.

You all continue to describe it as ego, pride and a whole lot of other words that are inaccurate. They are weak and insecure. Lying under the charm, leadership capabilities and care for children, exist the inability to maintain a solid lasting relationship with women. My father's last words to me were he wished someone would have helped him fix his issues. That was an impossible task in the 40's & 50's when he and my mother married. I was the only of my sibling who stood up to him and subsequently would be the only one of his children around to care for him while he was dying. He was the same angry mean man he was in his youth. Afraid of his inabilities with a great need to be accepted.

Among the women that my ex had in his life prior to me, he would give me the the title of the woman that broke the beast. My goal as his wife was not to break him but, he was suppose to never forget that his disrespectfully behavior, temper, and secret need to be comforted by other women would leave a lasting hole in his soul. While he could be quite dramatic. This time the curtain closed on him. Don't let the weaknesses of the Leo break you. They are breakable.

So that's you expert opinon as a clinical psychologist? That Leos are generally weak and insecure, that they are "horribly unking to their wives and that they mercilessly beat their children"? Is astrological profiling a part of your proffession? You may want to ask yourself why out of all the men in the world you would pick someone who's not only a Leo, but also possesses all the character flaws of your father?
