I tend to feel grateful, but never content. There is always something more to do, something else to give, another thing to learn, someone else to love...

no. i can say that i never feel this way. i've never been truly happy mind you but i refuse to believe it will always evade me. even if you get the slightest glimpse of happiness in your life that is enough imo.
the key is to stop looking for it 😉
BGP.....I totally get what you are saying!! Perhaps the secret is being happy with ourselves first, but I can't even seem to get there.....and I feel like you....missing a partner and love.....I just feel sad....
You ALL are right!! "Happiness IS an inside job". I *know* this, sometimes I forget 😢 My forgetter switch is always ready to be tripped.
