I want to leave this Leo-man, BUT....
You should talk to him and tell him how you really feel. How you can’t be in his life and have feelings for him, you don’t want anything bad to happen to him but you can’t with this burden anymore. Just be honest, he will understand.

Still remember it like it was yesterday, the time my boy showed up at my doorstep past midnight in tears after having not spoken to each other for like a week. We were still only friends at the time but it was the first time we slept in the same bed. He was in a lot of pain and just went lights out, and I stayed there to comfort him.
It was horrible to see him in that state, so I know how the OP feels.

But the OP's Leo never had that support system, and he found it difficult to deal with. I don't really believe he's being intentionally selfish, it's just he's too overwhelmed to focus on anyone else. Jed was a bit like that during his darkest times, his poor Cap moon was struggling. But I didn't mind because I was getting what I wanted: having him to myself. When he snapped out of it, he made my wildest dreams come true.
The OP's Leo needs to snap out of it and realize what he has going for him.

It's time for you to leave this guy. He doesn't respect your feelings for him, so he needs to be cut off. He's just saying what he needs to say in order to keep you around under his thumb. If you were really that "precious" to him then he'd be with you, end of story. Also you can't fix this guy either. If he's suicidal, he needs professional help, not you. Don't trick yourself into believing that you're the only thing keeping him together, even if he tries to make it seem that way.
