She has been diagnosed

Apparently my leo bff has been diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder.
The counselor said she had scored the highest he'd ever seen.
I AM NOT SURPRISED...she isnt either.

LOL, I dont know what to do about her.
She's too self consumed to notice anyway!


She's decided to go to church again though. I support her revelations.

That's so funny. I didn't know ppl actually got diagnosed with that. It's ironic, come to think of it.

I want to meet your friend now. We can clash egos for your entertainment M. It'll be fun. Someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder vs. someone who has a God complex and a superiority complex.

I DO have a ton of patience actually. I always say I dont know who would be able to put up with many of the stuff she does.
I actually know quite a few people that could fit the profile.
She's really nice though, to those she cares for.

What are the reasons she developed this disorder? Any traumatic childhood events?

Well for starters she is leo. She has used her sun sign to justify her behavior on several occasions, now thats she's found astrology. She always talks about how she just has this feeling that she is meant to be and will be great.

If her counselor diagnosed her with Bipolar or OCD, then you could take a pill for it, and justify your previous actions on the mental illness. But NPD isnt something that can be treated by taking a pill, as many of the things listed as mental disorders in the DSM-IV cant be. So whats her counselor discussing with her now that a diagnosis has been made? I'd doubt very much he agrees with her that the reason is in the stars....


Also, Im laughing about the line where he told her she scored the highest he's ever seen! LOL, like she is sooo great that she even gets the best score ever on a test 🙂

LOL, she took it that way tb! She finally understood when she was given the analysis to read. She just didnt understand what the guy was telling her.

I have no problem with her thinking she's great and I understand theirs nothing wrong with confidence. I have total faith in her (ive said this before on these boards). She has a great mind I only see big things in her future.

Its just her ways can be a little selfish and self centered to the point where she hurts others and she understands this.
