I swear if things don't calm down in my life for a VERY VERY VERY long time...I will go postal. About 3 yrs of non stop struggling. I am so done. 🙂 In a usual Leo fashion I have always won at these battles. I lost my job at end of Sept. due to the Gov't Shutdown and Internal Budget cuts as the companies budget was aligned with the gov't fiscal year. replaced by a JR. making half of what I did. After a couple of months of trying to fight it out and the impeding Holidays and not having family in the area anymore, I decided about two weeks before New Years to pack up the house, put things in storage and move the kids and I five states away to my birth place where I still had a bunch of family in the area. Got the kids enrolled in school so they can finish the second part of the school year off in the new schools.
I started looking for a new job immediately, and ran into some walls. One being the market is not as moving as it is where I had moved from. Two, I had a specific set of skill sets that is not as needed in the area I am now. I am more analytics and here they look for more technical skills in my profession. Not that I couldn't learn it!?!?!?! But, it was for the best. I had moved in with my grandmother until I could get a job and get my own place. She fell very ill and it required a lot of my attention. Sadly, she passed away.
The next day I got a call for a job. I started less than two weeks later and making the same amount of money I was making back where I had moved from. In this area, that is very good money. So, I have been at my new job for 3 weeks now and happy things are starting to turn in the right direction. Now, just keep going in that direction....PLEASE
