Are us Libras that bad?

Are we that self centered ppl?

Ummmmmm wanna elaborate? I think ALL starsigns and ALL people can be selfish at one point or another.

I met a very selfish Libra but he made himself that way due to a situation he couldnt (or didnt want to) change....that does not mean he's a selfish person per se.

Actually, Libra is generally seen as a giving sign second only to cancer. But we are a cardinal sign. The problem comes when people see how nice and giving and sweet we are, and try to get their way regardless of what we want and what is best for all involved and bully us into something. When we don't conceede and give'em what they want (which we should be cause we are so nice and giving, and sweet?!?!?) they get angry and call us self-centered. Meanwhile, we have probably looked at the situation from every conceivable vantage point and only see unhappiness on that particular path and going down it would only be unfair.

A sign who is represents justice can neither be self-centered or shallow. It may sometimes be blind to the suffering of other but only when it comes to serving a higher purpose.

I am your typical Libra, but I have a gemini moon which makes me crazy at times with things. BUT I am the most giving person I know, and I do for others and think about myself last, so I dont see why ppl call us the MOST selfish ones! lol I mean I know we have our faults, but I didnt think that would be one of them lol

I found this to be quite humourous as I tend to have a lot of Leo friends and find them to be very warm-hearted and genuine not to mention fun-loving. I have yet to meet a leo I didn't like. And when they give you a compliment, it feels like they have seen into the depths of you and exposed it. At least that has been my experience, both male and female leos. Truly noble, honourable people.

Agreed libragal self-centeredness I tend to put more on water and especially earth signs. They tend to be interested in winning more than cooperating. *shrugs*

So how do you explain a Libra with a Gemini moon and rising Leo? I gave till I couldnt and still had no cooperation from the Libran end.

My ex's rising is in Leo and his moon is in Gemini. He comes off very prideful and ego driven and his moon in gemini makes him very restless and adds to his independent streak (trine Libra sun,venus and mercury). These placements almost overshadow his good-guy Libra ways. He becomes very selfish and could careless who gets hurt in the process. I don't think all Libras are self centered, I think it has everything to do with whats in your chart. Same goes for earth and water signs. I've met some extremely generous and selfless Taurus guys and gals and they're known to be one of the miserly and stubborn of the signs.

Virgo_Libra you hit that on the nail LOL I have fallen in the category of being taken advantage of but not b/c I wasn't looking out for me, but simply b/c I was trying to be a good person. Some ppl don't know how to appreciate b/c they're too caught up looking out for #1.

libragal76 I'm a Pisces sun w/ a gemini moon. I feel your pain too LOL j/k I think it's a crazy placement b/c emotionally we get irritated easily and we tend to become restless with the emotions. So imagine me. I am already stamped with the most emotional sign as my sun and mercury plus i have mars in scorp! LOL However moon in Gem is very witty and intellectually gifted so we can talk for hours about anything. It's not all that bad but when you're angry, watch out for the twins!

Admittedly, some libras are more shallow than other. My roommate comes to mind. She spends at least an hour in the morning in front of the mirror. It takes me 5-7 minutes from bed to door. She, however, has a lot of Virgo making her very judgemental and critical AND passive aggressive.

But on a whole, Libra represents justice and an egalitarian utophia.

Amen Starfish!!! LOL I hear THAT! it sucks b/c in the end, love is supposed to be selfless. I always say there is no such thing as being gullible, there is only knowing how to take advantage of situations and others. I plan to continue being selfless just more aware of who I'm that way around.

because you can't manipulate a libra into loving you. We may stick around out of guilt for awhile but you cannot win out hearts through sacrifice. We aren't like that.

Who said anything about manipulation? I'm talking about purely satisfying the needs of my ex. What he asked of me I did. What he needed from me I gave, so why couldn't he be there for me in his own way or a way at all? I'm not saying that I was looking to get something back but whats a relationship without being able to be there for one another?

See people see that we are the marriage sign and think we are all about romance. We aren't. We are the sign of the LEGAL side of marriage. Seriously go read the article I posted. It will give you a much different side of libra. We are not about romantic love but at our ideal universal love.

Ahhhh idealism, love's mirage no? See that is what happened to my ex and I. He only saw what he liked in me, not me as a whole. And when reality struck he ran for the hills. I've read too many posts about how disillusioned Libras get when it comes to love, I don't understand how its all about the legal side of marriage.

if it's exhausting or draining to you, it is not you that can help them let their guards down...if it is, it won't be what you describe...This is similar to most air sign relationships - if you feel drained, move on - QUICK!
They're signs of communication so you have to be on guard if you take words seriously...

Well my ex husband was a virgo and we stayed married for 14years, until I found out the truth. I didn't stick around for myself, but to prove ppl wrong that we could last b/c we got married at 17 and I THOUGHT I loved him, but if I had of after 12yrs I would not have strayed. When I did I realized that I stayed for ALL The wrong reasons and what those reasons was. I love him yes always will, but he isn't meant for me. So was I selfish in straying? Prob so, but that goes back to the libra's ways and them as a whole as well.

I dont knwo where this whole "selfish" thing is coming from...I am a true people pleaser and try to always consider others' feelings and wants in situations. I do not veiw myself as a selfish person at all and have not met a selfish libra yet.

I find both signs to generally think only of themselves. If and only if your a true friend and or family of a leo will they give you their all and consider you.

The Libran, I've already let go, maybe not emotionally all the way, but I'm almost there and I let him know already. No hard feelings, I'm just walking away LOL I have to disagree though. My ex Libra says I've taught him about really standing up for what he believes in and I've inspired him to do things for himself, ironic isn't it??
