i AM 16. i RECENTLY MOVED TO A NEW NEIGHBORHOOD. oUR NEIGHBOR HAS A SON MY AGE. mE AND HIM GET A LONG FINE BUT HE IS TOO SERIOUS FOR ME SOMETIMES. ALTHOUGH WE ARE THE SAME AGE HE IS VERY MATURE. AND THAT'S HOW HE TRIES TO BE. mE AND HIM ARE ATTRACTED TO EACHOTHER, AND I ONE POINT I EVEN WANTED TO GO WITH HIM, BUT HE HAS THIS WAY OF IRRITATING ME TO MY LIMIT. hE HAS THIS THING WHERE HE'LL CORRECT ME ON EVEYTHING I SAY. nOW YOU GOTTA UNDERSTAND WE STAY DOWN IN THE SOUTH, AND TALKING PROPER AINT EXACTLY WHAT WE DO. i KNOW HE JUS DOES IT TO MAKE ME MAD BUT I STILL LIKE HIM. hE HAS THE PRETTIEST BROWN SKIN I HAVE EVER SEEN. i WAS JUST WONDERING IF THERE'S ANY HOPE OF ME AND HIM BEING TOGETHER OR WILL WE ALWAYS JUS BE FLIRT PARTNERS. IM NOT LOOKING FOR A RELTIONSHIP BUT IF HE'LL WORK THAT'S FINE...sOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

If you and he are 16 I would concentrate on where you want to be in ten years....both think about College and Family and try to set goals for yourselves like at what age you want to finish college, get married, and have kids......that way if he is not thinking of being supportive or not willing to better his life you will know that he is not right for you.....Definitely play hard to get....16 year old boys are famous for telling you that they want and need you so bad that they can't wait....but you know what?....if he is really the right one for you...he will respect and wait for you.......Best Wishes....and I am sure he will respect and Love you for being so strong.....

If he corrects you all the time, don't take it personally--never take anything personally is my motto--but let him know gently that you're not a doormat that needs to be corrected all the time too. You could say something like: "You know, you're very bright and well read but you really don't have to correct my grammer all the time--I went to school too." Inject a little humour.
