overt flirting

some people are shameless flirts. they'll say crude and blunt things. they'll turn everything into a sexual come-on.

i don't. a lot of people who think they know me basically see me as asexual. it isn't that i don't understand the things they're saying. it's just that i think it's in poor taste, and i don't care for it.

example:
guy: so, how's your kitty? (note: i have a cat, but kitty is the same as pussy/vagina, and the tone of voice makes it obvious that he thinks he's being witty and sexy)
me: oh, she's good. she did the cutest thing the other day.
guy: oh, okay. (tone- confused)

now, if he were as smart as he thinks, he'd realize that his remark fell flat. instead, because he's stupid, he thinks i just didn't understand. usually, this means he'll try different ways of saying the same thing.

while other girls, like a taurus maybe would say:
taurus girl: oh, my kitty is amazing. she's so fun. you wanna come play with her some time?

meanwhile, i'll roll my eyes when people say stuff like that. it's just so tasteless. and like a flashback to middle school.

and that's not to say i don't flirt. but what i'll do is more looks and body language.

meanwhile, i will flirt blatantly with friends, in a joke-y way, but only if i know/think they're joking along with me. it just feels so non-sexual, like something that's best used only in platonic interraction. i really don't understand how anyone whatever could see this sort of interraction as indicating sexual attraction or desire. mistakes have been made.

i'm pretty sure this is a libra tendency, female libras at least. but maybe not. anyone wanna weigh in?

I flirt a lot but it is definitely more friendly and playful than the example you gave. That was just crude. I don't think a comment like that would be appropriate at any time. There are much better ways to make sexual innuendos without being crude. Rather than try to make a sexual comment seem innocent, I find it much better to "mistake" an innocent comment she makes for an advance on me.

Lol, my Libra (with Scorp infl) said that to me

'nice pu $ $ y' - referring of course to an avatar of a white cat I put up.

Of course I got the double entendre.

My reply was - 'Thanks', but I was thinkin' 'why don't you just say cat?'
