Unspoken "rules"

about contacting somebody you hook up with, outside of arranging the hookup..thoughts? I met this guy online and we were always texting back and forth as you do. He's a Taurus, and it was fine, until he started being "wishy washy" with plans, you know, lazy. But anyway, we eventually hook up a few weeks later and have done a few times since. We don't talk about the situation, it just happens. But!!!! Should there be any random texts in between times? He sends the odd message but there's no flow and when I send him one, it's rare he responds. What's your take in this?

I know what it is, that's not the question. I'm talking about communication.

If he's just hooking up with you, that's all he sees you as. He doesn't see you as a friend or someone to show off to his other friends if that's not your situation. If he's just hooking up with you, that's it. All he needs you for is ass. There's no need to be friendly and waste time texting.

And from the sounds of it, that's what it seems like he sees you as since he won't respond to your texts but he gives you the occasional booty call text.

The awkward flow might be a reason for the lack of communication. Since you don't know how to respond to him he might not know how to respond to you.

As for the communication before actually hooking up, that was just to make you feel comfortable and to get to know you prior to the hook up. A lot of guys do that to establish a rapport and not look creepy by just straight up saying "Wanna hook up?"

I know all of this!!! I want to hear from people who can say "I see this woman/man every week/ bi weekly and we don't communicate at all or we chat every other day"..experiences..not opinions!!! Makes it easier for me to "compartmentalise".

I know this is not what you want to hear, I've not had your experience but as to your question, should there be random texts. I would say no. There'd be no point. He's your hook up. Contact him when you want and forget him when you don't. To do anything more would just be a waste of your time.

I've been in fwb before and they weren't that fucked up about it because there was an actual "friend" component involved so I did hear from them consistently between meeting up.
