I'm not sure if my insight would help you in any way, but imo, doesn't matter if they were Libra, Sag, Cancer or whichever sun sign. Once they refused to communicate, despite the fact that you did actually reach out and apologize, it is best to move on and stop analyzing the situation.
Don't use depression as a reason to justify their actions. I used to be like that. I've tried to see the good rather than the bad, but ended up being manipulate and cheated over and over again.
I understand you were feeling bad, because you thought you really did hurt him, but hey, you've already done your part.
