What do you think about this premise " What will happened has happened" and what are your thoughts on Destiny and free- will? Please discuss.
I will start. I've never considered this statement until a friend of mine mentioned it after talking about Psychic predictions. This premise states that What will happen( future), has happened (past) and what has happened cannot be changed. So if F=P, and P cannot be changed then F cannot be changed? It leads me to think about free-will vs. destiny. One school of thought on free-will is that there are many paths that exist and that have existed. So under the above premise and using this school of thought I conclude that there are many paths we could take to get to the future and many paths lead us to our past but what is done is done. This is a hard pill to swallow but I am trying to make sense of this notion, any thoughts?
It is one line of thought. In the science of physics. I think it is in physical processes and phenomena of a particular system or systems. The best guess I think is in (atomic struture , nuclear phenomena, energy and optics thrir is an interaction that could lead to an answer to this question but finding it has baffeled far greater minds than mine.
In reaching the truth to our Higher Selfs our unconcious mind is what makes those decisions (the thoughts we have, the visions we see, the feelings we know to be true)our intuition or innder guidance guiding us along the path to our life purpose. Free will comes into play when we do not listen. I think of it like this, "We are given choices and opportunities in this life and our paths depend on them." Most speak intuitively and if you really think about it, our Higher Self knows the best choice for us. If we listen then we go a different path to fulfilling our life purpose, but if our free will (ego and mind) do the deciding we may vere off course, or choose a different path that may be harder and more frustrating than the first!
This is where lessons come in, and whether we move on to greater things or are still stuck repeating the same thing, over and over and over again.
I am just beginnig my A Course in Miracles and I feel I will have greater insight, not just for myself but for topics just as this on.
