So about a year and a half ago, I was at a gas station parking lot filling up my tank.
I heard a ton of yowling from a nearby trash can. After putting the fuel hose back, I went over to see what the yowling was all about. I found this cute kitten sitting there staring at me as if to say, "I'm hungry and thirsty, so are you going to take me home or what?"
So I picked him up, no problem. Clearly not a feral kitten, because he wanted to be held, not run off like a bat out of hell when I come too close. I looked around, and found his sister, a slightly smaller kitten with the same markings as her brother.
So I took them both home, called the animal shelter the next day, and...
I told the lady on the phone that I found these two kittens at a gas station. The lady on the phone says, "can you keep them?" I hesitate to answer, and say, um, okay. She says, "Good, because I have about 500 abandoned pets here and we don't have room for anymore."
A year and a half later, the Wonder Twins are mostly fully grown now, and follow me all over the house wherever I go.
So, have you ever found an abandoned animal and taken him/her home as your own?
I definitely had to get them both fixed, as the boy's demeanor really turned sour after a few months.
Once he was neutered, he calmed down a lot, which is great because I have a nice place and didn't want him to tear it apart.
Also, I never let them outside. There are owls prowling the area at night, and hawks/falcons patrol the area during the day. Birds of Prey are notorious for eating cats, so keep them inside to be certain they will see tomorrow.
I use to work in a Veterinary Hospital. One day this guy came in and said he saw someone throw this kitten out of a car on the side of the road. I took one look at her... and told my boss "this is my cat". I've had her for 15 years now. She's my bff.
Do you think it's okay to hit children?
When I grew up I got the belt ( from dad ) a few times, the threaten to cut my hair if I was bad stuff ( from mom) on a rare ocassion a slap over the head or on wrist and my brother would play fight me and pretend

Do people become more desperate as they get a little older? I have noticed a trend lately that many single people are dating divorced people (with kids).
Is that what is smoking hot these days? Divorced people with kids? IDK anymore.
