Any of you had Psychic readings done?

i was always curious about this, not sure if I would ever give it a go. My AP Lang. teacher gave us a story how she went to a medium who apparently spoke to the spirits of the dead. She wanted to see if she can get a connection with her dad, though she was very doubtful and went with a friend just for fun. She said the lady went up to her and said that she envisions this guy, who keeps laughing and doing some weird lip thing, making a chicken sound.
Figures, my teacher said her dad would always play a game with them called "Chicken lips" when they were smaller. And she was freaking out while she was having the reading done, like "How in the world could she have physically described my dad and knew he played chicken lips?!"

So just curious, any one actually have a psychic reading done? It can be about anything, love and romance, just life advice, questions etc.

I did last year, didn't realise it was a medium as i thought it was a card reader and went along for the fun. He was a young guy and said my father was with him. he described him through interactions which we had together as father and daughter which were accurate, then the messages came, bear in mind my dad passed away years before any of his grandchildren were born so he never knew them - my son is disabled and he talked about him a lot, described his disabilities and specific problems - he told me he helped him to learn to move and he would help him now to learn to talk and that he would say a word in the next year - i've never belived my son would talk but he said his first word last week at 4 years of age . He passed on messages to my brother with respect to health matters which were very specific to him and his situation, he also told me to tell him he was sorry for what he couldn't do for him when he was here but he was helping him now, he passed on a message to my nephew and used his name (which he never knew). He passed on a message for my mother regarding an accident she had when he was gone a couple of years, he told her it would have been worse but he caught her. He also said she was eating cabbage at that very moment, my uncle was over on a visit from england and the only time my mother eats cabbage is when he comes over. he told me about two men in my life at that time and described them to me so I was sure it was them, he also described the relationship dynamics and told me what would happen. He talked about my marriage breakdown which had happened the year before and told me if he had been around when I met my husband he would have tried to stop it.

Through all of this the medium used each persons name rather than mother, brother, nephew, son etc which of course he had no way of knowing. It was amazing.

This stuff (ie occult practices, astrology) goes completely against the belief systems I was brought up on...

BUT, I'd LOVE to try it!

I just seems so fascinating. I don't think I'd get involved in medium practices. I think the dead should remain dead. I would love to see a psychic. I like different perspectives of things...

I would love to do a psychic thing, but I dunno if I want to pay for the services 😢 the 2.99/minute thing thats online seems like too much. I'd spend a good 25 dollars easily
