Are you right or left handed

And how useful is your non dominant hand?

My mother let me be left handed. In her mind it was my right to be whatever dominant hand I wanted, which I actually respect. Though growing up left handed has been a challenge. There are a few things I do right handed, like play guitar, but mostly everything I do I left handed. Because of that there many things I had to adapt to, or get something special. Like with a bow and arrow I needed something specifically left handed, which is somewhat rare. When shooting 99% of guns I'm literally getting burned from the empty round coming out. Though when things like fighting, people tend to never expect that hard left jab. A true south paw. Actually any competition sports related, people tend to freak out when a lefty comes into play.

All things considered I'm just bored, and want to know your dominant hand. Mostly I just want to see if there are any fellows lefts here lol.

Knew someone who was a lefty and was essentially berated/beaten outta using it so she became right dominant

Imo playing guitar right handed is actually left handed. The fingers on the left hand do most of the difficult part while the right hand just strumming or picking the snares (which is much easier)

The likes of Cobain and Hendrix should've been called right handed guitarists.

Lol what? The strings along the fretboard (the neck) is not for playing. It's where the sound hole (acoustic guitar) and where the pick ups (electric guitar) are located is where guitars are meant to be played. If you play guitar where the sound hole and pick ups are at with your left hand, you left handed and vice versa.

Yea. Maybe it's more of a religion or cultural thing. I'm not entirely sure. But I've had older people realize I'm left handed and call it "wrong" handed. Which was pretty offensive at the time.

When 90% of the world is naturally right handed, and only 10% are left I can see why some religions or culture would consider that a negative oddity, though I don't believe that myself.

A fun face we actually statistically have a shorter life expectancy, since 90% of things are made for right handed people. So we pretty much just try to make it work, and hope for the best majority of the time lol!

Interestingly enough, I am right hand dominant but I like using my left for certain things. I shoot with my left side because my left eye is dominant. Fine movements are better with my left hand.
