I'm sure we've all been there, but I'm truly wondering what I'm going to do with my life. Right now I'm in sales (for those who have been here long enough to see me float around - though I've been quite absent), and I love it but hate it. Customers can be super interesting and fun to talk to...but other days you meet those people that you'd just like to slap in the face. The ups and downs keep me busy, but it's also an annoyance. I just want everyone to be pleasant all the time (so unrealistic - everyone goes through different things in life that cause them to be the way that they are).
Anyways, I don't want to be in sales forever, but I don't really know what I want to do...
I love writing...I love astrology...I love music and performing. My thing is I hate working in an office, because I get stir crazy and end up on DXP all day or on amazon looking at things I don't need. Sometimes I even research irrelevant things that I think of in my head. Therefore, I get no work done...or I get my work done so fast that I'm just not stimulated while working there. Been there, done that. At least retail and customers keep me stimulated, whether it's me being interested and engaged or me being annoyed and disengaged. But retail....retail isn't my future. I have bigger dreams.
I've been increasingly told that I have great musical talents. Which I know. I've played violin since I was 4, so if I'm not at least decent by 23 I think I should give up on that pipe dream (lol). I also love singing...I taught myself oboe, clarinet and guitar. I'm now learning piano.
But I also love what Ashton Kutcher is doing with Thorn. I'd LOVE to be employed with them...or even volunteer. All his Aquarius planets are at work, and I love it!! I saw a video on his perspective and have read articles on it. I just love that movement. It's touching, and I'd love to be a part of that.
I'm a B.S. Psychology and Communication double major with a minor in Business Administration.
Really we can all do what we want, but I'm curious as to what types of "Career Crises" that you've all had in life...if we can relate or not relate. Just a discussion on any types of careers that we all may or may not find interesting. I'd love to hear your stories and just discuss 🙂
