Both of you need to have wireless connectivity or cellular data turned on.This happens to me as well, and it's all related to connectivity.
But it happened twice for years!
So you think those times someone turned it off? Just for this particular moment? Because we text all day!

I used to work in tech support for at&t so I am qualified to answer this questionturn it off and turn it back on again
viola
But rly it sounds like a network error, you will probably need to file a case
Also, smart phones become obsolete very quickly. I know you are of much older generation, but that is how electronics work nowadays. having an iphone 5s is like speaking into a plastic cup with a string tied to another plastic cup to transmit signal
You're welcome

I have ipjone5s.
My friend has 5 or 6.
Lately if he sends me text like can we talk and I say yes...my text doesn't get marked as delivered. So he doesn't get it.
So he sends another one and I say yes and it doesn't get marked 'delivered' - it happened twice already.
What is wrong? Anyone iPhone savvy?
Also iphone5 reception isn't good.
And I have a new one after I shattered old one. Still have to ask to repeat!
Any solutions to that? Thanks
