There are times when a person's subconscious thought patterns manifest in the forms of dreams or come out in other ways, whether it be through action, speech, body language etc. For whatever reason, there are some dreams that I have had, which have come true, but then there are some that are metaphors, which I cannot figure out. For the last year, I've dreamt of my tooth falling out, then a new one growing in that spot within five seconds. Idk what the meaning of that is. I went to the dentist, and was informed that my teeth were in good condition when getting my regular cleaning, so it wasn't literal; that kind of confirmed it was figurative. Has anyone ever had a weird dream that carried some sort of symbolism or subliminal message?

i think most of them are messages or insights into concerns that we might have in waking life. one time i dreamt about running to someone while holding a needle and my fave dog jumped out of nowhere and i supposed... died of a pinprick. then a couple months later i was told that my dog died.

then i had these dreams of a more repetitive nature somehow ending up with us breaking up (guy i used to date) and idk maybe out of fear, i kept trying to break up with him in waking life. almost as if i wanted the illusion of control. but i was WRONG about that coz we ended up getting married.

when i was a kid, my mom would always talk about her dreams in a daze (as if a little afraid). guess most people where I'm from are highly superstitious than most. she'd even call or go as far as to visit a loved one when she feels like some dream referred to them. and most family would talk seriously amongst themselves what these could mean.

i rarely talk about mine with them in fear that it would give a glimpse into my mind (secrets or thoughts i might harbor about them). but I suppose online it's easier to be a little more relaxed.
