(CNN)FBI Director James Comey said Tuesday that he would not recommend charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state but that Clinton and her aides were "extremely careless" handling classified information.

"Our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case," Comey said.

"Although we did not find clear evidence" of intentional misconduct, he added, "There is evidence that they were extremely careless of very sensitive, highly classified information."

Gross negligence is a legal concept which means serious carelessness. Negligence is the opposite of diligence, or being careful. The standard of ordinary negligence is what conduct deviates from the proverbial "reasonable person." By analogy, if somebody has been grossly negligent, that means they have fallen so far below the ordinary standard of care that one can expect, to warrant the label of being "gross." Prosser and Keeton describe gross negligence as being "the want of even slight or scant care", and note it as having been described as a lack of care that even a careless person would use. They further note that while some jurisdictions equate the culpability of gross negligence with that of recklessness, most simply differentiate it from simple negligence in its degree.[1]

Examples of criminally negligent crimes are criminally negligent homicide and negligent endangerment of a child. Usually the punishment for criminal negligence, criminal recklessness, criminal endangerment, willful blindness and other related crimes is imprisonment, unless the criminal is insane (and then in some cases the sentence is indeterminate).

For them, it's a joke, you see.

But for them, it's no joke.

But what difference does it make?

Lip service is meaningless.

What she represents, her kind of woman, promotes the consequences the likes of this:

It should be noted that while no charges are being brought against Hillary, had it been

someone else, the penalties could be very stiff.

The Clintons probably have photographs of Comey with a prostitute, or some other heavy blackmail material.

I cannot figure out why someone who is so "sterling" would look the other way in the face of Hillary's multiple felony crimes.

Comey is to integrity as sewage is to gold bullion.

There is a very distinct reason why they are referred to as the Fumbling Bumbling Idiots.
