please stop closing threads

Its super annoying especially when your engaged with someone.

Id like this option removed.

We made topics on this in How do you make this site better.

I'd like it removed too.

It doesn't seem like it will happen.

I like having the option to close your own thread.

Once you send it out there, it's not your thread anymore. People get all engaged in discussions and suddenly some mofo pulls the plug.

So +1 to removing the option. Most other forums you can't delete your account or your threads, I dunno why we're so nice here. Also, all the respected trolls will think before they start something they can't finish.

I wish people couldn't delete either.

Yes. So much good stuff goes *poof* and then there are threads that I've spent considerable time contributing to which could vanish at any time

It used to annoy me muchly now I just post on my own threads and troll the rest

The community flagging to result in closing a thread shouldn't exist either.

Also, when someone deletes, their threads should stay in place.

We want a Hotel California, where you can check out at any time you please, but, you can never leave.
