I don't think men could handle making less than their wives. It doesn't really matter since I'm not exactly in a lucrative field. Unless my husband is in the same field as me, most likely he will make more. As long as I can live reasonably comfortable it doesn't matter to me how much money he makes.

Actually, men who make more than me make me really really uncomfortable inside. They all have this attitude like they think they own you and want to impress you with wrong things, such as material things. Ewwww, just ewwww!!!!!!!!!

"Income inequality in marriages is entirely common, and as more and more women rise to positions of power in the workplace so, too, is income fluctuation within marriages. One partner may earn more one year, and the other the next. But such inequality, and fluctuation, can cause tension in a relationship."
"Evidence suggests that most conflict occurs when the woman earns more, since both genders remain, for the most part, hardwired to believe that men should be the breadwinners. A new study out of the University of Chicago found that unequal earnings, especially in cases where the woman earns more than the man, may be contributing to a decline in marriage."
