Allows the government to detain any person without process of due trial indefinitely. Yes, the bill extends to US citizens.

I should add, allows the government to detain any person suspected of being a terrorist. The "suspected" will not be given due process of trial. They will not receive the counsel of a lawyer and detainment is indefinite.

Obama was supposed to veto the bill but, last I heard he had retracted his previous statements to veto. Vote Ron Paul! I don't agree with some of the stances he takes on everything...but hopefully he can bring about some positive change.

We're doomed.

SOPA seems fairly vague and that's what worries me about the bill. It is valid to say that intellectual copyrights need to be protected but based on the wording of the bill...the blacklist will extend beyond just that. I will have to read more on this.

Me too. I wish I could live off grid. I say wish lightly because a choice like that would require some meditation but, I think the life would suit me well. I'd like to be able to hunt, grow crops and husband animals.

Definitely, and well known is my stance on puttering in a garden, building a fire, et al. I'm naturally inclined to hermit status. I'd dig looking out and seeing trees or land, not someones curtains. The key is not to romanticize it, loads of work. Rewarding though. Dongle for interwebz, solar panels. Though I must confess indoor plumbing is tremendous. 😛
