She smothers me..follows me around..wants to eat when I eat..takes naps on me so I cant move. Cries when I leave the room and she didnt notice.
At night, I will be woken up by her purring.
I was like "holy shit" i think this cat like me.
And i said to myself "this is weird."
She even stares me down.
I realized how hardened I've become over the years.

My point affection is so important for the peace of mind of humans. We need affection like we need water and air, yet we repress that need so much, inside we're like a tangled ball of stress due to lack of a hug or a touch.

Yeah I definitely dont hug enough. This could be a new goal to add to my list.
Touching is super awkward for me.
I used to be affectionate but I kept being told that I was doing too much and men consistently backed up whenever I got close. Outside of sex, my affection was always stunted and rejected.
It really had a lasting effect on me. During sex, I only touch their penis. Every other place felt awkward. Kissing was always off limits. I havent held a hand in years.
We and I have really made robots out of each other.
This cat is changing things.

So i got a kitten, black cat, over the weekend. She was standing at attention, it seemed, waiting for me to come to her.
She is so affectionate and I was so thrown off guard.
I realized that being single for almost 12 years has left me not used to affection. Even the affection of cats.
I am slowly learning to allow her to be affectionate towards me. I dont have much of a choice. Lol
