Posted by atearthseems bass ackwards if you ask me but then again I don't tell people at work when my birthday is cause I don't like all the hype
I live in the UK and there seems to be an office culture where individuals bring cake in on their birthday
What is up with that? Just seems so odd to me. It's like having a birthday meal with a large group of people and the birthday person pays the bill for the whole party.

Posted by julietteeYou say that but some people are so poorly paid that money/time to buy or make cake for the office is a low priority.
well one cake is really not that expensive. it's the same where i work. i sent a cake when i had my kid too.
